I have been around RC for a few years and finally find at this stage in my life, the ability to get into the bigger and nicer stuff!! I purchased a TF-P51 to use as a "trainer" and have learned a lot about gas, VIBRATION!! and flaps. I am building my last kit (a TF-P47) before I start building from plans. After spending some time reading the building threads of the likes of invertmast, drice, dmheil and denny freisel along with a few others, I have decided this is where I need to be. This site is Fantastic!! I am familiar with most of the building process but still struggle with the application. I doubt I will ever be a serious competitor but would like to see how close I can get. Just to build reasonably well detailed scale aircraft would be great.
I expect to have the P47 flying in the fall, it's currently being glassed, then it's off to my first real build, a Hostetler Cessna 195!!
Glad to be here

Craig, we are glad to have you here. There is a lot to be learned from this site. It sounds like you are taking the right steps. Good luck, and hope to see a build thread on the Cessna.
JASON

Hi Craig - I echo what Jason said. Miebach sounds really familiar - where in the world are you?

Welcome to RCSB Craig. I am confident that I would never have been able to finish my Corsair if it weren't for this sight (and I'm still a long way off yet), but I've learned so much here I absolutely KNOW it will be done.
Very helpful and supportive community here.

Hi Guys, thanks for the warm welcome..
Jason, Hope to be posting something on the Cessna but not until fall. I really need to get the P47 done before I start anything new.
Jeff, I'm over on the other coast, born and raised in New Jersey.
Don, I'll be keeping an eye on your progress, it looks fanastic so far.

BTW Craig, thanks for becoming a site supporter - I don't think you will regret it.
I ran across the name Miebach somewhere, just cannot remember where and of course it will bug me until I figure it out.
