Don- you going to model the 247-D that was piloted by Roscoe Turner and Clyde Pangborn that came in third place of the 1934 MacRobertson race? Turner named the engines 'Nip' and 'Tuck'! Those guys sure had a sense of humor!

Hi I'm gathering up parts for my new project ,it's a 33 scale Nelitz j 3 cub I'm building as a bush plane and I'm going to do a build log and post it . I'll be building a very detailed cub starting with the dummy engine I never liked the cheep looking engines on the cubs so I ordered a 1/3 scale dummy engine from Top Notch Products they have a basic kit , a good place to start . I also ordered a mold making kit to make the rest of the parts and need finish the engine , and now I'm looking for something I can use for tundra tires .Not sure what type of power I'll be useing yet , and there will be a full detail cockpit . this project will take the better part of a year I like flying but I love to build. Surprisingly, about 75% of us are interested in warbirds from any period.
I belong to the 25%, I have a fleet of ARF which are mostly civilians, and a scale built Storch (Svenson kit). I have decided to resharpen my building skills, and am actually building a BUSA Bipe Fly Baby, and as soon as it is finished, the next ones will be large scale Antonov AN-2 and Polikarpov PO-2, which I find beautiful.
I have moved most of my fleet to gas engines , with a preference to the Quadra which I love for its reliability and simplicity. I have lost two models to ignition module failures, and since then I prefer the magneto type.

Me, I have been busy with the YA A6M5 Zero for that last year, and expect that it will carry on well into the next building season as well. Nothing will get done on it during the summer months, I need to enjoy the outdoor warmth, and get over the winter, and attend as many flying events as my wife will tolerate.
Plus I have a couple of partially completed kits in the background, TF P-47 & TF F4U. These need to be brought up to speed sometime as well.
