I'm waiting for a cd to get to me to post some pics here. Perhaps easiest way now is to go to the TRC club's website: www.flytrc.com.
There are about 400 pics of over 1000 taken, for your viewing pleasure.
As AeroFalcon notes: A lot of those pics are also of full scale WW1 aircraft that flew during the event. You have to look closely, it is difficult to tell the full scale planes from the incredible number of superbly detailed 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 scale planes that attended. We had about 74 pilots show up, from as far away as Minnesota and Texas. You can also read a write up from Glenn Torrance on his website.
You will find the Avro and the lady clutching her rad hat there.
R, Mike P.

Ed, so glad you made the trip, out and again made it back home safe. I really enjoyed getting to know you and Joe. Your 1/3 Fokker D-VII was a great flyer.
Dick, I enjoyed the short talk we had the last day in the hanger. I have read so many articles written by you over the years; it was nice to meet you and drool over your Albi. Love the Pic you posted with full scale in the back ground. But one of my favorite moments when you did a nice stall turn on the right end of the field and that huge wing just framed the entire sky.

I also left a couple of posts giving you the names of the Smoking captured Pup (Black Tulip) and the "Eindecker" (Pfalz EII) owners with links to them flying at the Long Island Dawn Patrol. The Pup is Dave Perrone's and the Pfalz is Gene Gavin's.

The M.A.D. FORCED, yes I said it.. FORCED me and my bud to buy 1/3 Scale planes!!!
We went to Dayton all proud with our 1/4 GTM Fokker DVI's. Only to see we are small!! lol
SIZE does matter!!
Since my Bday is today, the Mrs. has ordered my a JW Sopwith Pup 1/3. My bud is going to get the, soon to be released (dec), Sopwith Triphound!!
Both planes will be sporting a EVO 160 radial for power..
Yipeeee

Hey Bob,
Happy B Day! 3 days after mine.
I remember when a 60 size was considered big.
