In the 1/4 scale version a three piece wing with plug in bottom wings please. 96.5" is far too long for a single piece wing.
Also ensure the model is quick to assemble. Nothing worse than arriving at the flying field and having to spend half an hour putting your model together. Models like that tend to stay home in the hanger.

Don't quite understand not having the patience to put a very scale model together at the field for flying......unless you just want to fly a "semi scale" model.My SE5 takes about a half hour to get ready, but it's only for competitions and not your weekend warrior !

It is possible to have the best of both worlds. By making minimal concessions, you can get a model together in under 15 minutes.
I find planes that take an hour to put together and take down don't see much flying.

Thats the one true advantage of the smaller 1/4 WW1 planes.. they will JUST fit into a full size panel van in one piece... If you have enough room in the garage you can leave them together all summer.
I hope I get to see this plane in 1/3 at Owatonna this summer.. But that doesn't leave much time to build one ! hint,hint guys from Oklahoma... ;)

I think 1 to 1 sometimes is easier. The parts are bigger! Barry has a great kit. I don't think anyone will be disappointed. If I weren't doing a 1 to 1, I'd get his kit. I might still. It builds faster! I am definitely lurking
