Well, now that I have a book on building I did buy a kit! I will endeavor to build to the plans. Well, I 'll change the wing attachment, and, and,,,,,,,,,

Has anyone seen the full competition results posted anywhere? Can't find anything on the show website. Maybe it takes them a while to post the results.

Had a great time Saturday night at the dinner and meeting up with the folks and putting faces with names. Also I was the lucky guy who got to take home the beautiful 1/3 scale pilot from Warbird Pilots! Thanks so much to Adam for donating this for the drawing. I know everyone went home from the dinner with something, it would be great if you dropped the vendor who donated your gift a quick thank you for the donation. That donation is cash out of their pockets.
Now it's back to building and flying. Be safe and I'll see you guys next year.

Gary,
That's been a failing of the Toledo Show after the birth of the internet. For years I shot pix of the static judging then posted online in one of my web sites on Saturday night.
The "other" web site used to do streaming interviews of vendors and owners of models in static competition...that is, "used to". It can take a couple of months before images of the winners will appear on the Toledo Show web site.

So while we’re bragging on people here and on Jeff’s 219 thread, it’s Mike’s turn.
Never met the man before but talked to him in Toledo about his site, how it’s hosted and what he does to maintain it. He said it’s a “hobby”. It’s much more. He provides a place where we learn so much about what we enjoy doing when we’re not at work.
It’s a community that has things in common and maintains integrity not posting insults or mindless tweets. He travels to Toledo to host a dinner where I meet people on my high school wrestling team (Jeff gets it) and crazy pylon racer guys from Indiana.
For what? I think it’s because Mike is a genuine, authentic guy that gives us something and asks nothing in return.
He’s a great guy and I’m happy I met him.
Best Mike,
Bill

Thanks Bill for the kind words. It was a real pleasure being able to talk with you and I enjoyed it. So many like minded folks. Our love for aviation is the common thread we all enjoy. That is what makes our community so great!

Had a great time, guys. Thanks again to Mike, you were wrong, I do very little to help with this when compared to the enormous task you undertake to host this (heck, your drive is 10 times as long as mine).
As to the show, I can verify having started attending back in the Toledo Sports Arena days that it was MUCH larger 10-20 years ago (Horizon and Hobbico once had entire aisles each, and getting through the entire thing in less than 5 or 6 hours was impossible).
Finally, I cannot overstate how impressive Jeff's He 219 is in person. He got a well deserved win with it, and given he had Jordan's F-86 to compete with (as well as others), he certainly got it versus worthy competition.
