Super old picture but it is me flying the plane that really got me into the hobby.  It is the most battle damaged plane in the history of rc.  Half of the wing was shreaded in the spokes of my bike.  Its been midaired, ripping off a quarter of the wing and half of the horizontal stab, causing me to lose control and hit someone on the top of the hill.  And it was just crashed to many times to remember, I started patching it with different colors after every crash just to give it some more character.

I like it when things are working!

Rob, That picture of Saint Basil's Cathedral is really cool-and brings back some memories. Lenin's Tomb and the Kremlin wall will be right off your left. Thats a pretty cool city to visit and the subways are awsome! Sure would like to go back for another visit. We stayed in the Rotsia Hotel right on the other side of the cathedral-over your right shoulder. Only thing I found not to my liking was the food. I'm sure they have some good stuff to eat there-I just never found it.

Well, I guess I should get in on this so here is a pic of me. I'm in the middle, Tom on the left and Don on the right. My newly painted cub on 2004 new years eve. Michigan sure is an exciting place.

Here is me with my Stuka

And here is Tom holding it for me

Hey Ron,  Yeh, Russia is a different place all right!  Black caviar and good Russian vodka... a nice Cuban cigar...while being attended to by a few of Moscow's most beautiful young ladies is about as close to heaven as I'll ever get.  Hmmm...did I say ladies?  Better change that to read "my wife" just so I don't get in trouble if she ever reads this thread  ...  yeh right, like that would ever happen.

I love old Moscow, especially the Arbat section, absolutely beautiful!  I have noticed though some changes happening...the "Americanization of Moscow".  Used to be you almost never saw a young woman who was fat.  Now, they're all over!  2 reasons, fast foods, and more cars.  I would say that there are probably at least 4 or 5 times as many cars in Moscow today than there was in 2000.  The sad truth is that it's almost impossible for many native Moscovites to live in they're own city any more...they can't afford to!  Real estate in Moscow is untouchable...it's really astounding!  If only I had more $$ say 5 or 6 years ago.

Rob

I miss Moscow, didn't get over this past summer...this is the view from one of our apartments.

and of our "old" summer house about 20 minutes outside of Moscow...this old cabin was built around 1915 or so!

It was 1987 when I was there-bet there have been some changes since then. Alcohol was impossible to find then. I was there in February and "cold" was EASY to find.
