Years ago on youtube someone had posted a zero of this size attempting to fly and it crashed on takeoff. I think the businessman that funded it was a relative of the company that built The full scale. The footage was awful, as was the end of the flight.

I have searched off and on for years for it.
 It disappeared like the video of the private owner landing his just acquired REAL full scale  P-51, and having a poor landing as his wife/girlfriend filmed and laughed about it...

Oh yeah and there was a video of a Nosen P-47 doing flybys with the prop going sonic, as it explodes right into the ground on a low pass right in front of the cam. Three interesting videos that have gone missing.

BTW, in case you're wondering this aircraft was called Zero due to the Japanese practice of naming weapons after the last digit(s) of the year they entered service.  This is not the western year, however.  Rather the year was counted relative to the founding of the imperial line.  The Zero entered service in 1940 which was the imperial year 2,600.
