Mike,
How about another poll for which 2.4 radios people are buying (Brand and number of channels). Although I do not plan to switch yet due to limited budget, I would like to have an idea of what others are using...

Vicar, That could be interesting. You could start a poll in the radio electrical forum

No, but I have pretty much converted my fly in planes to 2.4. I expect to have all converted by the spring.
It may be some time before I convert some that I only fly at our local field.

Vicar, FYI. Jim, "Fatherooster" was kind enough to start the thread you wanted to see.

I have three high-end 74 mhz XMTRs and 25-30 RCVRs. Switching to 2.4 gig is just not practical for me, especially now that I'm retired, living off my 200.5K (formerly a 401K). As long as the stuff works, I'll stick with it. I'm just afraid somebody's going to come along pretty soon and mandate it, at which time I'll take up horseshoes.

Making the switch to 2.4 now.
Bought my Futaba FX-30 transmitter with 35Mhz and am switching to 2.4 with the TM-14 module and 6014HS receiver. I have read a lot about 2.4GHz and have played around with some systems and setups of friends.
I have found that the majority of the 2.4GHz problems can be attributed to one thing: not enough POWER. You need to have a good battery-pack to run 2.4GHz, the old 800mAh NiCads won't suffice anymore.

I haven't completed the switch yet, but I am in the process of doing so. I'd be surprised if I'm still running anything on 72Mhz by next year.
