Hah! I have over a hundred! I also have more plans than sense, too! One kit I'm proud to own is a Combat Models 1/6 Pfalz D-III. It has a spinner and everything!

4 kits, an additional 6-8 plans and an incredible urge to start another one.
Fighting the urge so I can finish the current one or at least get it to the paitn stage before I start another one.
Recovery form that urge to buy and build - more than 1 at a time is a lifetime committment for me.
I am looking to thin the inventory a bit though - Anyone interested in an Ikon NWest - Mulligan???

Quote: Planecrazy200 Ok, get ready for this guys. No, I am not making this up at all, just created a spread sheet of all scale planes that I own. I started to build and collect kits at the age of 13 and I am now 47. Some of you may have seen a few advertisements from me here and at the other site as I have been getting rid of my smaller planes and keeping 1/5 scale and up while replacing them with the larger scale duplicates. At the present time I own a total of 96 scale kits from Ziroli, IMP, Vailly, Hostetler, Don Smith, Palmer, Byron, Yellow, Top Flite, Skymaster, Ikon etc etc! This does not include the 5 helicopters, 3 race boats, 3 cars, 6 warships and a host of sport planes! Well over 130 kits and or operational r/c goodies! Dont know if I will make it to heaven and I know there are no trophies in hell but I hope I win something in the end! Sorry, the fiancee knows all about the value of the collection so I dont think it will be a give away once I pass!
Wow.... suddenly I don't feel so bad with my 16, at age 45. 6 of mine are glass fuses, or ARF so I feel like I have a fighting chance of getting them all done.
By the way... my wife doesn't know about any of these so keep a lid on it.

Well now, havnt checked this post in a while and seems that there are more and more kit hoarders showing up! Glad to see I am not a balsa junky and I am one of the many and not one of the few! Capgains, I promise not to tell the wife for sure, your safe with me! Thought about selling them all to put a down payment on a home but then what would I fill the garage with or do in my spare time? Stupid idea! LOL! Never, mine ,mine all mine!

I'm with you on that. For me part of the fun is gathering the stuff. My wife said these things are like a Barbie Doll... Sure you Barbie (the actual Kit) but then you need the evening gown (Landing gear) the apartment (engine) and then all the shoes and accessories (Cowl, canopy, servos, covering etc. etc.) It's kinda true. Funny how most of the time you would think the airplane itself as being expensive.... in many cases it's the cheapest part of the whole thing.

I only have two kits in my Hord, a Champion Model Airplane Company Piper Super Cruiser PA-12 ad a Top Flite J-3 Cub. I have far more plans than kits, as kit's are truly becoming somewhat difficult to find. However, at least plans don't seem to be going away.
