A lot.  I look at kit boxes like novels.  Open it, read it, maybe build it, maybe set it aside for later build, or sell it. I enjoy just figuring out the engineering.

Keep in mind however, I bought most of my kits second hand, so not a tremendous investment.

I'm at about 12.
And I'm always looking for more. Especially hard to find kits or kits of not often built planes.
I think I am a kit hoarder although I will build them eventually.
Or so I tell myself and my wife.

I'm definitely in the minority category here - zero, zip, not a sausage, not a bean.

What I have found is that as time goes by older kits, which looked fabulous at the time, look

less & less attractive as I become more critical of things such as scale accuracy & the way

they are engineered.

I do have a couple of models that have been re-kitted  but once again, what seemed exciting

when they were built, now reveal their shortcomings.

John.

I swore to myself that I'd not have more than 10 planes built or unbuilt. Though mine are all small/cheap scale, I've got 10 flying, and 10 more in the boxes... Slowly, I'm reducing the fleet to a single theme (WWII), and eventually a single scale with a couple outliers - two for FPV flying (racing and long distance) and one for aerobatics...

I've always had a bad habit of losing interest part way into a project when something else catches my eye, and I've also had financial setbacks that caused projects to get set aside.

I recently moved from apartment living into my first house - at age 44 - and discovered I had a lot of crap to move!  This past Tuesday I sorted through all my scrap boxes to see where I stood on wood and found 3 full kits and 1 partial.  And I still have 2 models short of completion.  And plans?  Several.

WEll 80% construction is what I major in ... it's the last 20% that I tend to put to "another day"
