You guys are starting to make me want to cut my own P-61 kit... specially since most of the kit cutters out there replace the aircraft ply stuff w/ lite ply in order to save money, so those pieces need re-cut anyways...

Yeah, well said Jordy. Now that you mention it, I realize that it does make you familiar with where all the parts go and what exactly is in the bag when you are done.

Also...watching your Platt build. I built the 109 and thought...hmmm, what a fine kit to cut oneself.

The results of the survey continue to amaze me.

Have done both laser and cut my own. I love cutting my own, but then I like building more than the flying. It's a different sickness.

As I like to modify my builds, I cut my own kits too, but do it on my cnc router.
I just have the plans scanned and then modify some parts in AutoCad and just trace the rest.
Gives me the advantage of selecting wood too.
Maybe there should have been an extra option in the poll for that?

With a CNC router, a new Proxxon table saw and a newly built balsa stripper, looks like I'm all set to cut my own.

Hi I am new at this and this is my first post at anything I have mostly cut my own as I had access to a cnc machine but have recently started a 77' Ziroli Stearman for my little brother who had it cut at laser cut australia who are I found it excellent a couple of small issues that brad attended to immediately but a very neat cut and so far fitting together nicely .

On the sunshine coast Qld Been reading this site for a while now and was just looking to find something on Ziroli's 77' Stearman The plans are good but no build log.
I do have a question can anyone help with the Stis fabric that my little brother wants to cover it in It is available and the fabric is cheap enough but do I need all the other gear or can dope or primer do the trick .
I'm finishing a Turbinator no 2 Paint almost done and started the Stearman last week while the weather is being nasty Normally the weather is beautifull one day perfect the next, but someone forgot the last couple of weeks .
