JR with a mix of JR / Hitec servos .

Horizon service has been absolutely superb .
I recently returned my JR 9303 transmitter after the screen went blotto during programming.
The unit departed Florida on Tuesday and was returned to me by the following Tuesday ---- a seven day turn around .
NO CHARGES INCURRED for service or return shipment !!!

That is truly unusual in today's market and worth considering during purchase of equipment.

Sincere thanks to Tom and Rick at Horizon .

JR 11X transmitter, JR receivers on larger aircraft, Spektrum on smaller, typically Hitec servos, rounded off with Fromeco or JR switches and the occasional Smartfly product.

I changed from JR to Futaba about a year ago. When I learned that JR would not be supporting DMS2 or DSMX with their new run of radios, I was done with them after almost 20 years. I bought a Futaba 14SG and re-receivered my whole fleet for the price of one or two JR receivers. I prefer the gimbals on my old JR9503 for my helicopters, but I have gotten used to the 14SG and now I'll never go back.

Servos, a mix of Futaba, JR. and Hitec.

Modern Radios are great and reliable. Because increased reliability I need in my all aluminum airplanes I have been flying JR Radios. With due respect to all my friends, Other Brand radios are very good radios, however, they do not fare well in a harsh metal-to-metal noise, aluminum structure skinning, steel components and aviation hardware not to mention engine ignition systems.

This may sound like a commercial, but it is not!!!  I would not trust 2000 hours of labor to a radio that would be affected by these factors inherent to all metal building,
I particularly love the newer DMSS technology which warrants a more robust signal..

I have used Futaba since I first started in RC with glow powered racing boats. Since moving on to aero modeling in 1995 I have continued to use Futaba. I now use the Futaba 18MZ. I love the radio.

I started with an Airtronics Vanguard 4 channel system when I was about 10 years old, (almost three decades ago!).  I also used my dad's Futaba Conquest 4 ch.  I liked the Futaba more and ended up adopting his 8UAP, (I think?) later on.  Then came the 7C, then the 10C.  Now, I used the 10CG and a Hitec Aurora 9X.  I like them both and trust them both.  My servos are mostly Hitec.  I find that they are the best bang for the buck and are very versatile.

Been using Futaba 10C for a while now. Very happy with it.

Standardizing on Hitec 7954 on all servos on all bigger warbirds now.

Turn on Load protection on them and all is good.

The temptation for buying the new Futaba 18 was too big, so I am waiting for it to be shipped these very days.
