I've owned nothing but Futaba radio's.  Started with the 6EXA when they first came out, then went to the 7C, 9C and I now fly with the 12MZ.  My dream is to own an 18MZ, but my current radio will do more than I know what to do with now.  I agree that most all of the current radio systems are very reliable, but I've never had the urge to try anything else.  The only servo's I've ever used were Futaba's until I bought my first Parkzone T-28, but I'm tempted to try Savox servo's.  I've seen a set recently in a 50cc aerobatic plane and I've read allot of great things about them on other web sites.

Take care everyone,
David

I couldn't afford the 18MZ either, so I "settled" for the 18SZ. With a bunch of rebates, it can be had for about $910. It's a lot like the MZ.

Gentlemen,

I use the 18mz and I can tell you. There is nothing like it. I have only begun to scratch the surface on programming.

+1 For FrSky Taranis Plus with OpenTX firmware.  Telemetry capabilities are incredible, and programming is extremely flexible.
