anybody there ?   last clue (such as it may be) for  tonite

 1 - biplane
 2 - 2 seater
 3 - trainer
 4 - designed and or built in 1925
 5 - 32 production machines made over next 3 years. 1925-26-28
 6 - various models/versions used a number of different engines.at least 4 different mfg.
       as far as I can determine.
 7 - powered by a water cooled straight 6 cyl. of German descent.
 8 - "Z" is not only for Zorro.
 9 - might/could be said to have a historical connection to a current luxury car mfg.

Perhaps something along the lines of a Fyzir F1 made by Zmaj with a Maybach engine?

YES! That's it.  Although you may have the spelling incorrect on the name. I think it's  Fizir   But no doubt its the plane I was so obviously trying to describe.    You're up Glenn.  It seem's  I can't  get a decent picture of the Maybach powered one to post. 
 Oddly enough the Zeppelin-Lindau C1 comes very close to fitting the clue's.

yes, I got that one also, but I haven't been able to get down to a postable size. Still not computer savvy enough.
