It is not Russian.  The markings were added post war.

No they didn't, the choices are getting too obtuse.
Did you notice how few people are now participating?

I think that spending time to find the most unknown aircraft is making it boring. Maybe I am wrong, but the number of people participating has really dropped.

Do I have a better solution?
Yes,  For example,  I have book titled.

"World Aircraft 1918 to 1935" . It covers civilian and military aircraft.

I open a page randomly and if civilian- close it and open again- if military that is it.

just MTC.

Ps I think it is an Albatros C version

Gosh guys, I'm pretty clueless on the WWI stuff.  I'll keep looking in though...

I also have book titled "the complete encyclopedia of WORLD AIRCRAFT " It covers civilian and military aircraft.

I also randomly open it and if I see something military I read and see if there's enough info for clues to be useful but not to give it away on the first few.

Are you saying that your book doesn't have any obscure or unknown aircraft?

There is nothing wrong with obscure aircraft. Also, being vague like "it's a mono plane, fixed gear, and one crew" for the first clue are WAY too general and a waste of everyone's time. Please be a bit more specific.
