North American AJ Savage

Great name for the airplane! Sometimes it was a trimotor to.

Sorry for the repeat guys.  But as you see I had some help with that goof :-)

Yes Paul, I looked back at your clues, very different!  Interesting plane, right?

@Paul -- Grumman S2 Tracker?  But I would call that 'shoulder wing'.  Hmmm...

Shoulder wing: mounted on the upper part or "shoulder" of the fuselage, slightly below the top of the fuselage. A shoulder wing is sometimes considered a subtype of high wing.[1][2]

High wing: mounted on the upper fuselage. When contrasted to the shoulder wing, applies to a wing mounted on a projection (such as the cabin roof) above the top of the main fuselage.

Well, I learned something!

O.K. I agree  with the shoulder wing configuration. I got the high wing  label from wicki also.

Sparky,  Not the Savage. I missed your guess when I first looked in this morning.

Sorry, there was a guess buried in my ramblings:  Grumman S2 Tracker :-)

But I think you meant true 'high wing' in the sense of the Wikipedia definition, right?

Grumman C-2 Greyhound?  That was does have a small 'projection' above the fuse.  But looks like it may be in the gray area of high- vs shoulder wing.

I thought I answered your guess of the  S-2 Tracker but as I so frequently do I forgot to hit the "post reply ",
NO but very close.
I think I see why they called it a high wing in relation to the cockpit so either way could be correct I suppose.
