Hi Alan,
I think part of what makes this hard is that there are a *huge* number of low wing twin engined monoplanes that served in WWII. Hard to sort through all looking for one with crew of 3 and both fixed and retractable gear. The latter should be a small set, but hard to find that kind of info on 50-60 aircraft! Maybe a country of origin or role(s) would help narrow it down?
Assuming WWII and one other conflict since not too many low wing monoplanes with twin engines (that I know of anyway) served in WWI.
There is the Fairey Hendon, but I can find no references to a retractable gear variant.
I've spent nearly an hour and come up empty handed :-( Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree :-)
Gary
