Wherefore art thou, Sparky?

And I said here I am!
BTW the Hornet/Sea Hornet are my favorite airplane. I have an 80" one in the que. I just need to get off the schnide.

Here we go:

1. This airplane was flown by may dad, he said it was the first plane he flew that would do a loop from level flight, No dive entry required.
2. More than 500 produced.
3. Looks are deceiving it turned out to be a dog.
4. Like many airplanes the engine was problematic.
5. It shared the same name with the airplane it was designed to replace but subsequently changed.

7. Pilot and observer made up the crew.
8. Instability noted with the canopy slid open.
9. The only foreign country that operated them declared them obsolete in the same year they received the planes.
10. No record of one being shot down in enemy action.

Happy Thanksgiving!
This one was quite a turkey too but it looked like a great airplane!
