More clues.
1. Naval aircraft of 1917 vintage.
2. Made the longest non stop aborted flight of WWI.
3. Left on it's mission from the town where I live.
4. Primary user the Imperial German Navy.
5. Powerplant: 5 × Maybach HSLu piston engines , 180 kW (240 hp) each.
6. Flew 4200 miles non stop in 95 hours on a re supply mission to the continent where I was born.

Uncle Paulie got it!

I've flown one of my models from the concrete base left when the massive hanger was removed.
The area is now a military base camp.

UP You're up. Excuse the pun !!

The Mybach engines got me into the lighter than air group and I was trying to decide on which Zepplin you wanted when I ran out of time.
That might be the first LTA we have had on the quiz.
This is a better link to the story: L59
Sparky
