1. First flown in 1951.
2. Over 60 built.
3. Fixed landing gear.
4. Crew of two.
5. Ended it career as a Forward Air Controller.
6. It was initially designed as a primary trainer.

OK, here is the final clue for the night...

1. First flown in 1951.
2. Over 60 built.
3. Fixed landing gear.
4. Crew of two.
5. Ended it career as a Forward Air Controller.
6. It was initially designed as a primary trainer.
7. This aircraft was used by both the Air Force and Navy of it's home country.
8. The crew sits side by side instead of front and back.
