Omg fletcher got it!  De Havilland Sea Vixen it is......Nice job!  I didn't even get to post any more noticeable clues.  I figured twin engine could be an array of prop or jet engine variety.
I just stumbled upon it and thought it was a neat looking plane.  Reminds me of a Bronco but in jet form with swept wings.

It was a British aircraft based plane that was in the 1st generation of jets built buy De Havilland and was still supersonic.  Like the F4....it did not utilize a gun although 1 version was equipped with 4 cannons but replaced later with all missiles. Only 145 built and were used only by the royal navy and was retired in 1972.

It was the time frame that got me thinking it must be a jet.  I found several possibles, but the Vixen seemed the coolest.  Wasn't there someone on RCSB building one recently?

Think of the poor sot that didn't get a window seat in that one, just a moon roof!
Initially thought of the OV-10 but it came later.

A follow on design the Blackburn Buccaneer. The Brits have a way of designing some unusual airplanes.
