Bug*** Not a regular viewer of this topic, could do with an index as too many pages to go through to avoid repetition.

1. At the cutting edge of design in the fifties.
2. Over half of the production run were lost in accidents.

Dave.

Short Seamew

OMG! British....what were they thinking.
I was thinking between the wars as there were several airplanes that had jettisonable landing gear for water landings.

Dave you are welcome to start the index.

Came in late on in the quiz, it was the sibling clue that was the inspiration = Short Brothers.

Where would one put the index to be readily available for the next quiz master? Anyway on we go.

1. At the cutting edge of design in the fifties.
2. Over half of the production run were lost in accidents.
3. Last fighter design to enter production of this iconic manufacturer.
4. What would R.J. have thought of it.

Dave.

The Seamew and the Scimitar. Hard to believe they came from the same country..... I think if the engine had been sorted out (the bane of all 50's era fighters) the Scimitar would have been a real hotrod.
