Jeff,
So sad to hear about the P-47.   Directions are funny things as we take them literally.   I will post a picture of the B-25 before and after and then one with the replacement on the bench. The Scorpions do provide a bunch of power.

All,

Just a little extra sharing.  My current project line up is the following.

* Just finished my Extreme Flight Muscle Bipe.  Need to dial in the motor.

* Currently on the bench, I am building an electrified Smoothie XL from Balsa USA.  It is only the 2nd kit I have ever built.  I built a Mountain Models Katana prior to this.  I had installed an XPWR 40cc in the Smoothie.  Should be fun.  (in progress pics below)

* On deck is an AJ Extra (60 inch) that I got at an estate sale

* Second on deck is one of two kits that I have been hording:  A PICA T-28 or   A Byron P47.  The Byron has the glass cowl, but it is the smaller version, so it isn't the full glass fuselage.  However, I have always wanted to build a Byron kit, so I am looking forward to it.  I bought to Smoothie to practice a bit before embarking upon the Byron.

And that is it for now....until I am enticed yet again on FG Classifieds.

-Jeff

Is this Byron Originals 47 in a Byron Original corrugated box? Is there a plan or an instruction booklet? Foam or a built-up wing?

I just checked and it was so long ago that I got it wrong.  It is a Nick Ziroli P-47, not a Byron Original.  It is a 70inch wingspan version and it is of all wood construction.  (or at least it appears to be).  It is a shortkit with a canopy and cowl.

Byron Godbersen hated wood... ;^) He didn't even believe wings should be sheeted.

I fly in Grapevine, TX usually.  I saw your post about the Scale Competition.  I will be flying out to Europe later that day but I think I will try and come by for the morning and check it out.  Thanks for sending it.
