A fellow club member brought his new BH Zero today. He's flown her about 12-15 times with a 60cc twin cylinder and 22x10 prop. I had my camera and got a few pics. This is a beautiful Zero at 94 inches and 20-22 pounds. This is very light for such a large Zero. BH has used what looks like carbon fiber reinforcements all thru the plane. The 2 piece wing was very sturdy and well attached. The retracts were heavy duty in appearance. The covering had the scale details imprinted which looked good. He flew 3 times today with winds down the runway. Nice Zero. Lane

Will be getting my BH Typhoon in the air in next few weeks, picked one up at a good price complete with Rx, Hitec digital servos, battery management and single pin on/off, electric retracts and a DLE-30RA with a Biela 3 blade 17x10 with blade socks.
Only thing I don't like is the cannons and rockets are very flimsy so probably won't fly with those on.

Hi Max. The owner of this Zero always has really nice planes, so thought I'd get some photos.
Hi Peter, sounds like you are almost ready to go. The owner converted his Zero electric retracts to pneumatics with air cylinders from a retract manufacturer. They worked great. Looks like an easy conversion. Lane

If you notice, the flaps were not deployed on landing. When the flaps are deployed the bird climbs steeply. It will take a mix of down elevator to keep from having to push down to land.....I hate that and have never been even remotely comfortable having to "push" a plane down to the runway. Flies easily and very light on the sticks.

Its easy enough to dial in the down elevator on flap deployment.
Tell your buddy to install a pilot! to my eye it is a really noticeable omission.
