The Fury cowl definitely came from Fighter Aces there in the UK. The short kit was cut here in the US by Bob Holman.

I had better subscribe to this thread then

So there is some possibility that USA will send 3 x F4C  3x F4H and 3 x F4b !
---------------------------

One of the ways to achieve a weight reduction is to remember that FAI 15 kg is a dry weight. With no fuel or propulsion battery's for electric.
(But must have a working radio battery's. )

If I need nose weight i install a fuel tank 2 X size i need . If it is the other way round , as in nose heavy, the radio battery's go in the back.

Go for the lightest radio battery s, Li-Fe, Li-Ion . Etch flight might only use 500 ma so consider the capacity that is realy necessary.

That Wessex in Vid above had nearly 100 3mm HT steel socket screws, I swapped nearly all for Aircraft grade alloy screws and saved 2 oz.
Could go on...............

It certainly does seem like we could have a full team Richard, we already have 3 in F4H and 3 in F4B.  I've omitted the CL guys from this since this isn't CLSB  but they also had team selection at the Nats and have a 3 person team.  I'll see if I can get some info about their planes.

I remember all your work to get that Wessex down below weight, including leaving it out in the sun to burn off the British damp.  That whole thing was pretty extraordinary.

John,

Who are the anticipated F4C qualifier builders?

You will probably NOT get thrown out of RCSB publishing pictures of C/L models.

Most of them use radio to operate features such as retracts, throttle, bomb drops etc
Look at Danny Fenton's Chipmunk builds, he can and dose fly the same model on RC or CL.

Ok, here's the F4C team.  I have pics of what they competed with at the Nats, I'm not sure what they're bringing next summer.  Unfortunately I don't have a lot of contact with these guys but I'll try to get some updates in the next year.

Peter Bauer with an Islander

Allen Goff with a Neuport 11

And Mike McHenry with a Navy NE-1

We staticed together but I didn't get to watch them fly as their contest was held concurrently with ours at a different site.

John,

Is there an indivdual team manager per class or a single manager for all?
