A group of 5 of us got together yesterday for some friendship and flying at the RAMS (Riverside Aeromodelers) field. It was a beautiful day in NC.

Steve, nice flights! Glad to see some aerobatics with the DVII! Most videos just have the DVII flying in circles. Nice flying field for sure! Lane

Thank you Lane!

Still getting to know both of these planes.

The roll rate on the DVII is still slower than i prefer, BUSA suggests using differential which is how it is set up, but perhaps i need to take that out and set up more through in both up and down positions.

The Skyraider is just an awesome flying plane, couldn't be more pleased.
The one thing i still have to adjust to is the CG shift when retracting the gear, it changes altitude and attitude momentarily. (The LG rotate and retract rearward)

My Hellcat does the same when the gear swings aft as well. I think it was easier controlled if you are sitting in the cockpit like the full scale.

If you CG it with the gear retracted, then the change from Gear Down to Gear Up shouldn't be as noticeable. I've never really noticed a change in handling on any of my Hellcats and Corsairs that way. But, that's just me. Lane

Thank you for the input fella's.
I would hate to add more dead weight up front but that may be the best option.

Sounds like you are closing in on the finish line. You won't regret finishing it, the reward is an awesome flying plane that lands as easy as a trainer.
