Here are a few shots of my just finished Ziroli P-51D build.  I started this build back in January by cutting all parts out myself using a bandsaw and scroll saw.  The cockpit, exhaust, trim tab hardware, landing light and fuel tank caps are from JPWarbirds (painted and assembled by me); thanks Jiri!  I hand crafted all other details including printing my own waterslide nomenclature and vinyl cutting my own painting masks.

I'm still putting the finishing touches on the plane and plan for a maiden in the near future.

That looks SPECTACULAR! I am literally JUST starting a Ziroli Mustang build today. How funny that I saw your post when I did.
Did you happen to document your build online anywhere? I'd really love to see that!

I plan on using a DLE-85 engine on mine. I'm trying to decide if I want to push the engine back a bit and use a prop extension so I won't have to cut any large holes in the cowling.
I'd love to hear what you used for power and how you plan on keeping it cool.

I wish you the best of luck with your maiden. I hope you'll post a video when you can.

All the best.

Michael Bacon

Michael, yes I fully documented my build. I too am using a DLE 85.  I show exactly how I hide 90% plus of the engine.  PM me your email address and I will share with you. I documented it in email form with my local club and put every picture I made in a Google drive.

Definitely will have a camera man  for the maiden.

Document your build here, I would love to follow.

Ryan
