Hi GentsBeen away a very long time. I'm a retired locomotive engineer, and I thought I might knock off the cobwebs, see if my fingers still work, and give this another try. I've been lurking in the weeds and reading on another site what's been going on in the hobby. I came back over here where the big boys play to see what you have been up to. Still the best site with the best information. Looking forward to what comes next. Jim

Jim,
Welcome (back). We’re still here. Lots of guys have moved on, others have stayed & still others have progressed through various (impressive) modeling projects.
If you’re still interested in getting more out of this site, may I suggest you join? That way, you can truly receive all the benefits that come with the membership.
Cheers,
Skye

Hay SkyeThats the plan to rejoin. I'm just not having much luck following the FAQ tutorial on signing up as a site supporter. I'm not what you would call computer literate. I'll figure it out though. Thanks for the welcome back. Jim

Welcome back. My sister joined a quilting club and the woman that runs it is a retired locomotive engineer for UP. I wasn't expecting that when she introduced herself. I fiddle with model trains but have no layout because airplanes take up my time. Cheers.

Hay JohnI worked as a brakeman from 73-78, went into engine service early 78 until I retired in 10/08. All on the old Santa Fe RR, then the BNSF after they merged. Whole time out of Los Angeles.
