Greg (glma3) and I brought our Great Planes P-6E Hawks to the field yesterday for some exercise. Both started life as ARFs and, for all practical purposes, mine still is.

That's Greg's in the foreground. He stripped and recovered his and relocated the tailwheel to its scale location. After applying the base colors, he masked and sprayed all the markings! His is a 20cc gasser.

Mine's up front in this photo. I swapped out the kit decals for markings by Callie and added elastic flying wires. It's powered by a 1.60-equivalent electric system with two 4-cell, 5,000 mAh batteries in series.

Both flew very smoothly and deliberately in somewhat gusty, cross wind conditions.
