I never know where to start when posting in forums. Mostly, I will not post anything at all. There are so many excellent people who express themselves better than I. This Time I am going to go into a bit of my history. My Name is Don Moody, I am from Prince Georges county Maryland. That is where I got started in RC. Much before (like many) I used string and clay to fling airplanes in a circle. After I saved enough to buy a control line model and starting gear I became the proud temporary owner of a Cox trainer. It didn't last long and I had to wait until maturity allowed me to get a Sig Kadet, K&B 40 and a used radio from a friend (Phil Sybill). It was a Royal 7 channel kit radio, not a lot of people ever heard of that one. It was a pretty good radio, all things considered. It got me through several planes before I could afford a new radio. About 1976 I became very interested in RC Scale. You know I don't want to go on about me but I do want to talk about the folks I have met and became friends with. Being a member of PGRC was one of the best experiences ever. Imagine becoming friendly with Bob Violet, Cliff and Nancy Telford, Maynard Hill and the list goes on and on. What a wonderful group of people I have been blessed with knowing. I guess it has been 50 years since I started down this path, and a wonderful ride it has been.
I hope to continue with some new projects, A Dave Platt original Spitfire kit that Lloyd Charles gave me in 1983. And A scratch build 1/5 scale SE-5a. I am looking forward to building both.
