If I remember correctly there is only one runway.

Maybe a grass runway further away but it is not used for models.

Richard,

You are correct. They are handicapped by the taxiway being on the end / beginning of the runway.

I was surprised to see this... Is it common at the WSC?

Beautiful airplanes, what an honor to compete at this great event!

I am also pleased to see more civilian airplanes scoring top in the lists! Each aircraft at the competition deserves high praises. Amazing effort!

One of if not the single amazing aspect is the size of construction under 15kg. Innovative construction techniques are everywhere you look.

@Richard Crapp

In Romania, there is no concrete runway specifically for aeromodelling.

In recent years, one parallel to the runway was built in Strejnic.
The hangar with the F4C and H models is also the one from 2016. In addition, the F4B is hosted by another hangar.

The runway for F4B is laid out in front of the main hangar and has protective fences.

Flights to F4B should start this morning.

Would raise the question why they didn't use the spank'n new taxiways for flight make ready pits. If that were the case here you'd have gators and critters to worry about.

Also seems weird that there are no spectators or even other competitors watching at the flight line.   Looks like they haul out the next model up with the trailer, fly the round, and then they go back to the hangar which is some distance away.
