The Romanian airfield is not a X military airfield sight, just a training facility for the Romanian Aero club.
We are pleased that Romania stepped in to host the championship when other country's declined ,
mostly due to the huge expense of hosting it.

2026 in UK realy will be on a model flying field ;https://nationalcentre.bmfa.org/

Thanks to Atro for the great coverage  , keep going, we realy appreciate it.

Unfortunately, the airfield does not have grass on the entire surface. The leaders of the Romania Aeroclub preferred to spend the money on the free education of several hundred young people between 16 and 23 years of age in gliding, motor flying or parachuting. In how many countries does this happen?

And the wild grass that covers the surface of the airfield is cut everywhere where it is needed.

The pilot's position behind the model is allowed at take-off. After takeoff, he retires somewhere near the referees.

There are quite a lot of spectators, but I won't post pictures of them. In addition, almost all the teams are in corpore with the one who flies. There are times when there are too many spectators behind the flight line.
Thank you Richard Crapp for the help in clarifying the conditions at Strejnic.

F4C and F4B flew today. Unfortunately, I had to leave the airport much earlier than I would have liked.

Tim Dickey is 10th thus far. I assume F4C Static judging is complete...unless the late arrival the UK team's models extended the Static session. Looking forward to Round 1 and Static subtotal posting. Interesting the Pilatus PC-21 is referred to as a "Jet" trainer. It is one of the two superior COIN turboprop in the world.

First placed at the stand, F4H

These are the first 5 notes at the stand.
3 out of 5 are Swiss.
Of these my favorite was Grumann. I will post pictures with details of these models. For now, the first two places, Reto Senn's Vampire  and Gody Fisher's Pilatus Porter PC-6:
