This month's walk-around is a beautiful example of a Douglas C-47 that is part of the Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection. After taking part in the Berlin Airlift, she was transferred to Norway. Delivered in July 1950, she was initially coded ‘T-AO’ but in 1958 she was rebuilt as a passenger transport and recoded ‘BW-L’, also being marked as ‘93797’. Later converted as a calibration aircraft and became the first such aircraft to see Norwegian military service. She was finally retired in May 1974 and joined the National Collection, where she is presented in fine condition. This walk-around contains 87 detailed, high resolution images and was donated by member Thomas Nilsen (thnilsen).
This is an excellent subject to add to your walk-around collection.
