World’s Only DC-3 on Floats Returns to the Skies. Was just talking about the Beechcraft D-18/C-45 and the Douglas DC-3/C-47 on floats in another thread.
That's really cool! What a unicorn! As an aside I was watching the 'Victory at Sea' series and in the segment about the USA teaching Brazilian military there were what appeared to be DC-3s that had an engine in the nose making them trimotors. Was there such an animal? I am totally not familiar with WWII birds.
