Always hard to decide...what next? I must have changed my mind at least a dozen times over the last few months but finally I have made a choice.
In another four or five weeks or so after I finish my D VII, I am going to move forward a few years and away from WW I for a change.
I have always admired the Hawker Fury I from 1930. One of those Silver RAF Biplanes from the golden years. The predecessor to the more famous Hurricane. both designed by Sydney Camm That will be my next project, I plan to do it at one quarter scale and use, surprise. surprise a Quadra 75 for power. Top wing span some 94 inches so more than enough power but I have a Q75 sitting in the drawer so the price is right, and using a prop extender again I can get it to fit inside that pointy nose.
Just starting to make a provisional wood list and will get that ordered soon. I am really going to try and build this one "light", something that almost always eludes me. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Mike and all the modelers that participate in this great site a Happy Christmas and a healthy and satisfying 2008

No warbirds here. In 1998 I quite smoking after 20 years of trying, and promised myself that I if stayed quit for a year, I would take that money "going up in smoke" and spend it on myself. Wanted to try a 1/4-scale plane, didn't want "yet another Cub". So, having an attraction for quirky aircraft, I bought myself a PZL Wilga kit from Frisch Modellbau.
One thing led to another and this build got backburnered for 8 years. I'm starting back on it this Winter, and p'haps I'll finish it this year.
Or next...

I'd really like to either build a F4 Corsair or ME-109 or a P-38

I'm planning on trying to build an AT-6 Texan this fall/winter...I have 4 in various sizes and forms (1 ARF to be assembled, 1 Brian Taylor short kit, 1 Bridi F/G Fuse kit, 1 Saxton F/G Fuse kit...I am intending to assemble the ARF to have a warbird to fly over the balance of the summer, and then begin building one of the smaller [2] for the fall/winter, then hopefully the Saxton (same size as a Ziroli) a bit further down the road. BUT, aside from the ARF, this has been my plan for at least the last 3 years!

Oh lets see..
The plan is:
ESM Hawker Hurricane 26.5% GeeBee R2 finish Dave Anderson TA-152 H-1 Ziroli P-61 Black Widow 1/7 F-14D Tomcat scratch build..
Pretty much in that order, but I'll probably only get done with the first 2 and started on the 3rd and maybe have a fuselage laid up for the F-14... To many projects, to little money!
