Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is John Martin and I hail from Fort Mill, SC at the present time. I'm retired USAF (2005) and have been flying since about 1991. I have been in the midst of a LONG hiatus from RC and have finally decided to get back into the hobby since there is little else I can do with my time that doesn't cost far more.

I haven't flown in years but plan on getting something to fly with to get the skills back. I was always a pretty decent pilot and could wring out my old Morris Su Do Khoi. I never really liked the aerobatic stuff and was more into flying scale type aircraft. A Pica Waco and BUSA Taube were my favorites that belonged to a friend. With that said I think it is time to get started on a scale build whilst I get my flying skills back to where they should be.

I look forward to learning from you all and am anxious to get started. Not sure what my first big build will be but rest assured I'll do it right.

You wouldn't happen to fly at the York site would you? I used to be neighbors with Jeff Carr until I moved to Tega Cay. I've known Jeff for 8+ years. He is part of the reason I am getting back into it. I started to get back a couple years ago and it never really took off but now I have to find some way to occupy my time. thought about building a boat but decided the cost was too high. I'd like to get together one day. I think I can make the fly in in Camden. It's the sod farm right off US 521 correct? I stopped by there a few years ago when I was driving from Sumter to Fort Mill.
