Hi Everybody,

I have been collecting r/c airplane/ jet kits for years but have held back from breaking the seal and jumping into my first build....until now.  I am not new to r/c but definitely new to building large scale aircraft and this website looks to be a terrific source of helpful hints and technical advice.  I have recently purchased an original Bauer Modelle Me 262 A-1 kit and am looking forward to getting started with the build.  My goal is to begin with this aircraft and work my way up to a Horten 229 and a 1/5 scale Me 162.

I am really going to need help in many aspects of the build including the selection of EDF's, retracts etc.  Thank you in advance for any assistance and for supporting such an awesome website!

Richard

Richard,
Welcome to RCSB! Where in South Florida are you? We have a really good bunch of guys on both sides of the state that could help you out if needed.   Myself and Merlyn (Sevarg) are near Punta Gorda, and Mark (marmburst), Vicar, Roger (slowflight) are in/near miami.

I look forward to your 262 build as i was very tempted to purchase that kit for a long time. When you get ready to do the Horten, definitely let me know as. I have the most flight time on a 1/5 HO-229 in the western hemisphere (ive also built three).

Hi Richard, welcome to RCSB! In FL you are in the hotbed of Scale RC - seem to be quite a few members there.

If you have not done so yet, take a look at the site supporter program - it really opens the site up to you Supporter

Looking forward to your build - whatever you start with!
