Hello all, my name is John.  I have been a site member for a couple of years now but just recently upgraded to Site Supporter.  I have been flying for 3 years and building for 1, very fortunate that I have a good buddy who is teaching me to build.  I am not very good at it yet but am making progress.  Still glue my fingers together on a regular basis.  We build every Monday night and are about 3/4 of the way completed on my 1/3 scale Balsa USA DVII, and my friend is building a Balsa USA 1/3 scale Albatros DV.  I very much admire this site and all its members and look forward to watching more of your great projects!

John

Welcome John,

I have been doing this for 15 years now and I STILL glue my fingers together.

Be sure to post any questions you may have or tip you pickup along the way. We ALL can learn from each other no matter what the skill level.

Thanks for saying hi and thank you for your support of RCSB!

Cheers,
Mike

Hey John,

Welcome aboard!  You and your buddy get these planes finished and meet us all down in Virginia Beach for the Mid-Atlantic Dawn Patrol Oct 1st thru the 5th.  The BUSA DVII is a great flying aircraft.  I've been flying mine for many years.

John

Hey John, thanks for speaking up! I am right there with Mike. I am embarrassed to remember how many dumb mistakes I still make. One I have avoided though is to slap my legs together when I drop an exacto knife! (that does not mean I haven't shed some blood for this hobby though! )

Thanks for the kind words guys and the great stories, I look forward to learning lots here!

John thanks for the welcome and the invite we are trying to have the new planes ready for that event.  We were actually there last year at the Mid-Atlantic Dawn Patrol and we had a great time, was a wonderful event.

Kind regards,
John

Welcome John.

Every one of my planes has my DNA in them too. Just part of this great hobby.
