Hello from sunny Ocala, Florida!
I'm new to the forum, but not to RC. I've been around the hobby since 1975 and tried a lot of the disciplines, but keep coming back to Scale. I'm 65 years young and retired, so I've got a lot of time to do what I want, subject to the usual family matters. I also play golf (poorly) and live in an active adult community called "On Top of the World." You may have seen the ads for the community in Model Aviation Magazine. Life is good.
I've built a lot of kits, bashed a few, built from plans and even designed a couple of my own. That said, my skills pale compared to a lot of what I see here. But that means that this is going to be a great learning experience. I've got a Nieuport 28 on order and I'll try to start a building thread once I get started so you guys (and gals?) can keep me straight.
This forum is awesome! There is so much knowledge being shared and the encouragement for each other is impressive. I really appreciate the forum rules for decorum.
I'm looking forward to sharing this great hobby with all of you.
John
