Wow, here we are again kicking off another building season up here on this side of the equator. As you may or may not know RCSB's success is directly attributed to the great content folks are about to find here to help them with their projects. So if you have not done so you should start a build thread this season for that new project you have been itching to get going on! It's really easy, and not only will you be helping others but you will be helping yourself by having a vast pool of knowledge to draw from if/when you get to the points where you have to make hard decisions. If you have never seen it check out the posting tips and tricks to help get you started or simply ask myself or the other members if you get stuck on something getting your thread going. I look forward to seeing your project!

One other small change you might notice on the site is the a small note on the left side in the posting editor about using the "Add Link To Post" . RCSB has a lot of anti-spam code incorporated in it and one of the things it does is intentionally break pasted URL's in a post. It does this to keep spammer bots from spamming virus ridden links into a post if they get in as they do from time to time. Unfortunately this makes it a bit more time consuming for us legitimate posters but hey, it's only a couple of seconds to use it. So please do or your pasted links will not work.

I hope you all have a great September and thanks to each and every one of you who subscribe to RCSB helping to make it the great resource it is!

Until next time!
Mike

Mike.

How does the link bit work? do we cut and paste the URL into the box?

You have to highlight what you want to link, then click the Add Post to Link button and post the link in the dialog box, or you can just use the forum codes in front or behind the URL.

Mike
