My name is Erik and i started building models with my mother when i was about 9 years old. When i got to 15 i build a ARF trainer and a Something Extra from SIG. However soon after finishing them girls and school came in the way and the hobby was dormant for about 10 years. So, about 7 years ago i started up again. I began with helicopters and a couple of years ago i began building airplanes again. I started with a couple of ARF:s, an Electrostick and a Extreme Flight Edge 540. It was nice, but i missed the building of it all, so i built a SIG 1/5 anniversary J3 cub. I took my time with the build, and since i work full time and VERY irregular hours, the build took me almost 8 months, but it flies great!
So, now i want to continue the building and im planning on building the TF GS P-47, since ive heard its a good first warbird to fly. Well, thats a little about me and my experience and plans for the future. Im certain this is the right place to be for tricks of the trade that is building airplanes!
Welcome Eric. I am sure you will enjoy it here, and become a MUCH better builder at the same time.
This is the first time I have seen a Piper Cub that is not yellow. I like it .

Thank you neighbour! Its not built after any real aircraft, i just liked the idea of a white and blue Cub. The numbers are the ones that came with the kit. Im sure im gonna be a much better builder, there is so much knowledge here!
Hi Eric - glad you found us and spoke up. That is a nice looking Cub (I have to get another Cub - I had so much fun with mine!)
Jesper is right, just hanging around and watching will encourage you to "try your wings" and each build will get better and better!
