Hello everyone!,

I just joined this forum recommended from a friend which quickly I have found very useful in terms of resources for scale modelling.

I have been flying for 4 years now mainly sport flying, IMAC and 3D so I am not very familiarised with scale flying and building warbirds apart from a p51 blue nose from Hangar 9 I put together as an ARF which I still own and flies great.

I feel the need to expand and scale modelling really is something I would love to get into it. Although no experience building kits from plans, I am good at putting things together and building lots of other things from scratch using different materials, etc.. so I think I will be good at this.

So Im already thinking in building my first kit from plans as a long term project and been looking at some Meister and Zirolli kits which seem to be easy for newcomers.
Really looking at doing a p47...

Lots to learn and great place to share some good knowledge!

Hi San - welcome to RCSB Community!  A P-47 would be an excellent first-time warbird, generous wing and a good planform - and I have not yet seen a bad flying P-47.  Lots of schemes to choose from too!

May I recommend becoming a site supporter?  Talk to your friend about it.  Here is a link to the info:  LINK
