Hello everyone,

Currently I am located in Qatar on a 12 month consultancy and fly a small foamie with the local model club, just to keep the fingers supple, that is for a few months only though until the temperature and humidity becomes too much to warrant getting up at 0430 for a couple of hours flying.

My "mother" club is the Manx Model Flyers, see their web site of the same name, based on the Isle of Man, British Isles where we regularly battle with the vagaries of the UK weather.

I am new to scale builds having only built a Bud Nosen Aeronca, which was given to me and a DB Sport and Scale Auster J1, so I join you all looking to learn an awful lot and to try to emulate some of the fantastic work I have seen on the various forums already.

Best Regards,

John. (Webbus)

I just joined  and still haven't seen the whole board yet, but I can say there is an awful lot of talented folks posting here. I was In Doha for a while as a Navy Liaison. Stay safe over there.

Hi John - glad you found us.  I think there is another member from Qatar on here - not sure.  Anyway - hope you can overcome the challenges!
