I would like to introduce www.Carbercomposites.com  to you all. Formed by myself, Cary Bailey and Bert Schmitz in 2016, we are both engineers in our respected professions but both of us have a passion for scale model building and flying.

Wanting to "enhance" the scale look of our models, because these items were not commercially available, took at lot of designing, inventing and trying different materials and methods just to get "that" particular part looking right!

In 2015 I was building a 1/5 scale P51D and wanted to get the scale detailing to really show off my model such as the exhaust stacks, the gun ports and the fuel caps. These items were not commercially available so I began to look into what I could do to make them. I was introduced to Bert, a prolific engineer in his own right within the transportation industry, a R/C model builder and pilot who just happened to have the same view as me! We decided that we would start producing the above items and found that we could make these available to our fellow fliers, not only saving them time and effort in making their own "versions" of the exhausts and gun ports but saving them time to concentrate on the major part of the aircraft build!

The end result is Carbercomposites where Bert and myself have developed a range of products both familiar to us all but also "bespoke" design parts, recently Bert printed a complete working undercarriage system for the Fw190 "Dora" 1/3 scale aircraft that has since been manufactured for flight!

After 2 years in the making, testing, providing items to you guys through recommendation Bert & I decided it was time to "launch" our website so that you can see what we do and also if we can help you too!

We are quite aware that you want a quality product, at a valued price and a support service that you can talk to, give us your ideas, your feedback and pictures of your finished (and flown) aircraft so that they can be included in our blog!

Fellow Pilots, lots of enquiries and our first order received and now in production! Thankyou all it is really appreciated!

Our first order is for the set of P51 exhaust stack and shroud kit!

New on the drawing board is the Browning 50Cal machine gun. Dimensions have been taken from a WW2 unit and we are fine tuning the detail over the next few days. Once these are complete we will be putting these on the website with actual pictures of the print!

We are now producing moulded versions of the P51 exhaust shroud that covers the stacks. As can be seen 2 sizes are available for the Top Flite and the Ziroli/CARF with a 3D TopFlite version shown below. The moulded shroud is a still giving you a quality product but is more efficient on the pennies!
