Hello dear scale-friends,
this is my newest airplane, still awaiting the maiden flight, as soon as the weather gets better and the strip is dry enough... It is a Global Jet Club model. I ordered a basic primed model and made the paintjob by myself.
The subject, a T33a flew during the years of 1959 to 1962 in:
Jagdgeschwader 71 Ludwig von Richthofen under the Commodore Erich Hartmann, which claims the most confirmed shot downs (352 in WW2) in the history of military air combat.
Here is number JA-395. The T-birds all show the so-called "Hartmann nose". That was the nose art of Hartmanns fighter airplanes in WW2. The jets of the first "Staffel" show red , the second Staffel of Jagdgeschader 71 show yellow in their noses.
