Hi all,
I asked Mike to change my username to Tim B. The name "tubig" was a play on words (tubig means "water" in Tagalog...Philippine language) of the nickname given to me by my work colleagues when I lived and worked in Subic Bay, Philippines (the nickname was "too big"....don't ask, another long story). Now that I am retired and those Philippine days are long behind me I wanted a more down-to-earth name.
I have been contemplating this for quite a while and since today marks the 18th anniversary of my joining the RCSB family I thought it a good day to make the change. I hope this doesn't cause too much confusion.

Tim,
No confusion at all. I figured tubig was a play on words, an acronym or an abbreviation for the letter of your first name & combined with your last.
Now that I know your name, I’ll call you “Tim” for short.
By the way, congratulations on your retirement & wish you many years of successful modeling. Oh, & good health, good spirits & happiness….. yeah, that too. (ahem).
Cheers,
Gary (Skye)

Ok, Tim B here and when out in the night life arena around the girls Tubig. Got it! LOL
Funny how those nick names follow you. I run into high school friends ( I am almost 58 now) and they still and only know me by "Chico" which is the proper pronunciation of my last name but not spelled correctly. Almost none of them knew/know my first name is Mike/Michael.
Any way welcome Tim B as you will be known hence forth!

May trips across the Olangapo river that was know by another name......
I was know as Sparky and they had a banner across the front of Marmont 2 welcoming me back on the last of 5 Westpac deployments.
Those were the days and nights!
So you are kind of like Prince and many iterations of his name......
Baloot's were fine after a few beers! I'd send a kid out for some to amaze my ship mate's.

Sure beats my nickname of Garbage Gut. So named because wherever we deployed to (Africa / Mideast) I could eat the local dishes and drink the local water with no ill effects. Not so for my traveling companions.
Welcome to the new name.........

ok Tim, nicknames always stick with ya. I've friends who
for 40+ years have known me only as "Smitty". Don't think they even knew my given name--Dale. Also
remember Subic Bay very well. Pulled in there with with 3rd Marines in '58 (operation strongback

Ah nicknames. I've been Doc to friends since I was seven! Never caught on with family so its Bob (uncle Bob to my Niece, she's in her late 50s lol) Bobby (sigh)to the girl that lived next door and was a classmate and the person I have known the longest in my life! But to everyone else when I'm introduced, it's Doc, many haven't a clue what my mother named me! I'm OK with that, lol.
