Attention pilots, 
I was hoping to tell a story instead of just shooting random footage when I attended Rhinebeck for the first time last year. I was lucky to get Martin Irvine and Brian Perkins who are members here at RCSB as well as Bryan Baumer from Balsa USA to talk about the event and their roles in it. I hope to shoot something similar at Blue Max this month in Sanford, FL.  If you're attending look for the guy carrying a tripod. 

I will also attempt to trade my Royal Quality Kits JU-87 for a WW1 kit while I am at the event.

Very nice! I was very impressed by the community support, and involvement of younger people when I visited Rhinebeck this summer.  Every Modeler should try to attend. You won't regret it.  And be sure you set aside some cash for the biplane ride.  It was awesome!

I was fortunate to work at Rhinebeck for a couple of decades with the MHRCS and it’s a great place and a great event.

Considering that there were meetings in the late 1990s about “how do we keep this going” and “can we keep this going” it’s a dream come true that it’s not only still around but better than ever.

Going away from the contest to a fun fly was the right choice. I got hate mail on that one.

Say thanks to George Buso and Bill Winkler and Jim Rantisch and Bob Magee and   a host of other modelers (some now gone) that put the time and skull sweat into keeping this going.

And I am forgetting some names that should not be forgotten, I plead the fifth and a stomach bug.
