Hello Eric,
It's the same as the Pfalz, were using a cut outing the top portion of the cowling to tunnel the air over the head, we're redesigning that airplane so it will be a much nicer build so hold tight and we'll take care of getting you an updated set of parts your not in a huge hurry.

No Hurry Barry....looking forward to the upgrades , especially if you can supply ( or get a source ) for the tapered lapstrake fuse siding which is another head scratcher...but not impossible of course !

All you Great War (WWI) fans that have ever watched The Blue Max and became a avid fan of the Pfalz DIII, Barry and his team have produced a real winner with there 1/3 scale Pfalz D IIIA. From what I can see after opening up the kit and examining the metal parts, fittings, and LASER cut parts everything is outstanding.
I have included a few photos of the kit and fuse plan. I plan on building the Pfalz after I finish my Albatros an will do a build thread on it.
I have been collecting documentation about the Pfalz on and off for the last 15 years or so. I had planed on doing a scratch build of a 1/3 scale Pfalz DIII but with the quality of this kit there is absolutely no need for that.
Well done Barry. Doc S
