Here are some photos from the event. If you have never been to Hodges Field you need to make plans to attend this event next year.

First a few pics of our fabulous venue....

A great time was had by all and we did a low country boil Friday night for all the pilots. Hope you can make it next year!

Mike

This was a great event with a great group of pilots. My brother Charles and I drove over from SE Alabama Thursday thru Saturday. Mike Hipwell's He-100D is an incredible model. Friday's low country boil was also delicious.

That's my 1/4 scale Se5a. With it I scored the best near disaster recovery with her on Friday. The winds were gusting and turbulent over the trees. While making the turn from downwind to base the wind pushed her over and she spiraled down. Initially I thought I was into the trees but was in front. As she spun I thought don't give up and Firewalled the throttle and pulled on the elevator. She pulled out and I avoided the trees on the climb out. A true brown streak.

Went over everything and no damage. Flew her on Saturday.

Will upload some photo's.

Pete

I’m new at this, but can someone explain the line of gentlemen standing behind each other with their hands behind their backs? The significance of having their hands behind their backs?
