Datum/incidence lines rarely...if ever, parallel anything.

Thanks guys! Ended up downloading that PDF and there's a list of component suppliers as well. I'll get it sorted :) I'd like to try to scale it to work a Kolm BX120 or a Valach VM 85. I'll see what I can do. Should be an awesome project!
Looks like I've got myself a project over the winter! This has turned into an awesome thread. Love the Flitemetal btw
I'm working with mostly hand tools myself, and a growing collection of power tools. Definitely more resemble the garage worker at this point haha the Stearman was built with a couple small hand-saws, razor blades and a Dremel, about all that's needed really with balsa, and a bit of glassing! The glass fuse and foam core shaping I suppose I could figure out without too much hassle.
Working towards a full sized fancy shop, as my hobby building desires keeps growing lately. Definitely fun!

Unfortunately Mark Frankel passed away last July (2020). A simple search term of: "Mark Frankel RC" will bring up an abundance of information about him and his models.

You can get plan laser cut parts from Bob Leserve... He can laser cut from the downloaded .pdf. You simply specify w/s. http://store.laser-design-services.com/

Ah, shoot. Beat me too it, first link shares information on his passing. Even more reason to build a model from his plans, that's a shame!

If you are thinking of doing Mike Barbee's enlargement I would think the canopy and cowl would be easy to find by emailing him. With all this rain going through the Ohio Valley he's not likely going to be laying down concrete today.
